At Kozukue Castle, about a 10-minute walk from Kozukue Station, events are held in the spring and fall, and local high school and university students order various products from Kozukue Shopping Street to coincide with the event and set up stalls in front of the station and in Kozukue Castle Site Folk Forest. Elementary and junior high school students also create road maps of Kozukue Town to promote the existence and appeal of the shopping street, thereby promoting the existence and appeal of the shopping street.
Ways to revitalize the local area
- Rediscovery [1] Ozukue Castle and Ozukue Castle Site Folk Forest
Located in the city, a 10-minute walk from Kozukue Station on the JR Yokohama Line, it is the remains of a castle from the Warring States period that is registered as one of the "Top 100 Castles in Japan" and "One of the Three Great Castles in Kanagawa Prefecture." The "Kozukue Castle Site Festival" is held in the spring, and the "Bamboo Lantern Festival" in the fall, both of which attract many locals and tourists. - Rediscovery [2] Kozukue Shopping Street
Kozukue Shopping Street is a shopping street with over 40 years of history, and is loved by locals for its line of old-fashioned stores, stores that exude the warmth of the community, and stores that showcase the skills of their artisans.
Although there are many different shops in Kozukue Shopping Street, tourists who come by train to events in Kozukue Castle do not pass through the shopping street if they take the most direct route to the event venue. Therefore, by setting up mock shops in front of the station and featuring the shopping street in event pamphlets and posters, the charms of the shopping street will be appealed to tourists who come to the event, leading to the revitalization of the shopping street. By hiring local students as volunteers, the interest of parents will be raised and volunteer activities at each school will be promoted. The aim is to revitalize the area by having people enjoy the event while experiencing the old-fashioned shopping street and townscape filled with human warmth.

Comments and points regarding the award
The idea of rediscovering the area of Ojika City in the big city of Yokohama and proposing a plan that utilizes a wide range of human resources from elementary school students to university students were very good. I think the road map proposed in the plan is essential to attract tourists, so I hope that the city and others will work together to actually make it a reality. The material that was focused on as the theme of the Local Rediscovery Contest was very good, but I think that if the students can further hone their expressive skills to make the most of the material, they will be able to give a better presentation. I hope that they will continue to improve their own expressive and presentation skills through various presentation opportunities during the rest of their high school life.

Rediscovering my hometown
In recent years, residents of Shiojiri and Okaya have been flocking to Matsumoto City, so by distributing pamphlets listing the best cafes in Shiojiri and Okaya at Shiojiri Station and Okaya Station, the project aims to attract young people who are increasingly leaving the area and revitalize the area.
Ways to revitalize the local area
- Rediscovery [1] Ing Cafe Papanga
This bakery cafe was created by merging Bakery Papan-ya, which has been in business in Daimon, Shiojiri City for over 20 years, and its sister store, ing-café. They sell over 60 types of bread, and among them, the wide variety of koppepan bread, which is carefully made to look and taste great, is a highlight. They also offer a wide variety of drinks, including organic tea and local coffee. - Rediscovery [2] Cafe Perchoir
A small cafe serving espresso coffee and sweets. The coffee is made from original coffee beans blended by a local roaster and brewed as espresso. They also sell cakes made with chocolate, which goes well with coffee, and cakes made with locally produced ingredients depending on the season. - Rediscovery [3] Cafe Hill Valley
Located on the Chuo Dori shopping street, this cafe serves authentic coffee, the world's highest rated tea, and sweets. The specialty coffee is carefully hand-dripped one cup at a time, and the soft and chewy pancakes are a popular dessert. Alcohol is also served in the evening, with a selection of beers and whiskeys from around the world.
It is believed that women go to other cities and towns in search of stylish cafes, delicious food, and photogenic places. Therefore, they will create a pamphlet featuring hidden stylish cafes in the local area of Shiojiri and Okaya and distribute it in front of the station, targeting women in their teens and twenties. The pamphlet will also include the cafe's Instagram account, a map showing the route from the station, and nearby entertainment spots, making it easier for people to enjoy Shiojiri and Okaya, and helping to revitalize the local area.

Comments and points regarding the award
From the presentation, it was clear that the group had practiced their presentations extensively. In addition, they had actually used their hands and feet to research and put together a plan, such as making handmade flyers, which was also a point of praise. The idea of targeting young women and spreading the word about "Instagrammable" spots to revitalize the local area was good, and it was also good that they focused on cafes among the many spots, but to raise the level even further, I think it would have been better if they had made a proposal that went a step further. For example, if they could think about a business model that spreads horizontally, such as how to spread the strategy set up by the company (organizers) further among consumers through word of mouth, I think it would be a more interesting plan, so I would like you to think about it.
