Aim to become a tax accountant
Research Themes
This seminar focuses on the tax system. The "tax" in "tax accountant" is the "tax" in "tax." We welcome students who aspire to become tax accountants. You may find the content of the seminar difficult, but there is no need to worry as the study will be based on lectures on public finance. We are committed to paving the way for students to become tax accountants.
This seminar is recommended for those interested in finance and tax systems, especially those interested in becoming a tax accountant. Finance refers to the economic activities of the government. The tax system provides the financial resources for this. In other words, modern nations do not generate wealth themselves, so they forcibly collect taxes from the private sector to provide public services. In a capitalist economy, the free private sector based on a market economy and the coercive government sector based on fiscal democracy function inextricably. And it is the finance and tax systems that connect the two.
Activities
Building on undergraduate lectures on finance, students will gain a deeper understanding of finance and tax systems. In the spring semester, students will use materials such as the Nikkei Shimbun's "Economics Classroom" to acquire knowledge, ways of thinking, and current events, and in the fall semester, each student will choose a theme and give a presentation. In other words, the emphasis is on developing presentation and communication skills. Everyone will take turns presenting their research using PowerPoint, followed by lively Q&A and discussion. As preparation for entering the workforce, students will acquire the ability to speak in public and convey their thoughts in a coherent manner. While many people find this difficult, seminars are a great opportunity. For the sake of your future, take an active approach.
