Explore what you want to know from a psychological perspective.
Research Themes
Students choose a topic that they are interested in in psychology and research it. For example, students have researched and reported on topics such as "multiple personalities," "psychological tests," "psychology of love," "mental training," "psychology of criminals," and "gambling addiction."
Activities
In this seminar, we decide on a theme and conduct a questionnaire survey. For example, if the theme is "personality," we will first study what personality is and how it can be measured. We will then discuss in groups to come up with questions that we would like to know, such as whether "personality" is related to "blood type" or "star sign," or whether "personality differs depending on whether or not you have siblings," and create a questionnaire based on those questions. The questionnaire we then create is distributed to approximately 200 students at our university, and the responses are analyzed. You can find out what you want to know by actually asking many people questions and having them answer them.
