Clarifying the "why" of taxes
Research Themes
Many students have various questions about taxes, such as "Why do we have to pay taxes?", "What kinds of taxes are there?", and "When were taxes established?" In this seminar, students will learn the basics of tax, especially tax accounting, which calculates taxable income from profits calculated in accounting, and then deepen their research. They will also develop the ability to formulate their own opinions on how to solve the questions they have about taxes and what taxes should be.
Activities
- By providing opportunities for students to interact with our alumni, mainly tax accountants, we are able to link seminar activities to practical matters, such as how what they have learned in the seminar can be used in the workplace. We also offer tours of tax accountant offices upon request.
- We will participate in the bookkeeping competition held in June, and promote friendship within the seminar through seminar camps both in Japan and overseas, and social gatherings. In addition, we also provide guidance for the bookkeeping examination outside of seminar hours depending on the student's bookkeeping learning ability, and set aside time to study for the Nissho Bookkeeping Examination.
