Hiroshi Hasegawa Seminar (Distribution, Marketing)

Three years of seminar research gives students a completely different start from when they first graduated.

Research Themes

  1. (1) Commerce or distribution: What is the chain of retail, wholesale, and sales transactions?
  2. (2) Marketing: How can a company become more competitive?
  3. (3) Management Diagnosis: Students can gain field experience and acquire objective knowledge that goes beyond their own experience. Furthermore, they can graduate early and advance to graduate school, and become able to provide guidance on the management of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Activities

For practical learning purposes, students may join one or more of the following groups, depending on their wishes:

  1. (1) A group that conducts seminar activities in conjunction with classes that involve field visits/work at corporate sites.
  2. (2) A group that engages in activities to develop professional skills from level 3 to level 2 for sales professionals.
  3. (3) A group that conducts seminar activities in conjunction with related courses to build up the expertise necessary to pass two of the seven areas of the first examination for SME management consultants: "Corporate Management Theory" (business strategy, business organization, and marketing) and "Operation Management" (store operation management only).

In parallel with the above, students will begin writing practical graduation theses from an early stage under research guidance, dividing into groups based on the following points:

  1. (1) Corporate research to find your place in the world.
  2. (2) Study of industries that have a direct impact on the location.
  3. (3) Specialized research that will help you promote yourself.
