Learn modern information and ways of thinking from past records
Research Themes
Accounting information is generated from the data recorded in accounting books. Nowadays, accounting information can be easily obtained thanks to ICT (Information & Communication Technology). Also, if you understand the traditional paper-based accounting bookkeeping system, you can use ICT to obtain the accounting information you want on your own. But when did this act of "recording" become necessary? What is the true nature of "recording"?
In the Watanabe seminar, students will choose their own research field from the fields of accounting principles, accounting bookkeeping, information processing, and accounting education, and will develop their expertise while cultivating the ability to explore accounting records and utilize them. Students will also improve their presentation skills by presenting their research process.
Activities
In Watanabe's seminar, students will learn about the differences between traditional paper-based accounting bookkeeping systems and those using accounting software, and then conduct comparative research on the significance of accounting records from a historical perspective.
Based on this knowledge, we will attempt to create a medium that can create financial statements from journal entries with one recording using Microsoft Excel, and can automatically obtain the accounting information required within a company. We are also considering creating bookkeeping application software that can be used by individual companies.
In addition, we also provide individual guidance and consultations on accounting qualification exams such as the Nissho Bookkeeping Examination and teaching professions (subject: business). Through accounting, let's think about your future work style and career path so that we can lead a fulfilling student life together.
