Nogimura Tadanori Seminar (Research on Distribution and Marketing)

Let's create lenses to understand society

Research Themes

“What process did the product you purchased go through before it reached your hands? And why did you decide to purchase that product?”
I don't think there are many people who can answer these questions right away. The fields of distribution and marketing can provide the answers to these questions. Distribution is a field that considers the mechanisms (processes) of the system that connects production and consumption from a socio-economic perspective. Marketing, on the other hand, is a field that considers how to design the process within this distribution system, from when companies create value for consumers to when it is consumed. The goal of this seminar is to "research distribution and marketing from multiple perspectives and create a lens to interpret society."

Activities

This seminar conducts the following activities:

  1. Acquiring and utilizing knowledge
Not only do we input knowledge through each lecture and reading group, but we also output it through group work and presentations, helping students solidify and utilize their knowledge.
  2. Improving verbalization skills
Through assignments and presentations given in the seminar, students aim to improve their ability to use and verbalize the knowledge they have acquired.
  3. Nurturing independence and cooperation
Through activities both during and outside of lecture hours (projects and training camps are conducted according to student wishes), we aim to help students develop both individuality and social skills.
