Utilizing experience in solving problems as a team

During my studies at Faculty of Global Studies, I often engaged in group work. It was a valuable experience to work together with other members on a series of tasks: first, we investigated the given assignment as a team, then compiled the results and thoughts into documents and presented them. I experienced the difficulties of managing the group work, reading literature, and pondering how to get to the heart of the problem-solving process, but when we overcame the difficulties and got closer to solving the problem as a team, I felt an immense joy.

This experience of "solving problems as a team" was the starting point for my job search. In the sales department of Cross Marketing Group, Inc., where I received a job offer, I provide clients with the data they need and team up with them to improve their performance. I really wanted to be a part of that team. I also had the opportunity for more than 10 individual interviews during the selection process, where I spoke with people from various departments and age groups. By being able to ask everything I wanted to know and my concerns, I was able to get a good idea of what it would be like to work at this company, and I was able to make a fully convinced decision to join the company.

Continue to be greedy even after entering society

短期研修

One of the things that had a big impact on me during my university life was my "short-term overseas training" in Hawaii. Since it was a short-term training program with a set duration, I decided to go without any reservations or excuses, and instead wanted to communicate with as many people as possible and have a variety of experiences. At first, I struggled with listening and speaking, but by making an effort to actively talk to my classmates and local people, my English skills improved dramatically. It was my first time abroad, and I gained experience overcoming difficult situations in a situation where I had no one to rely on, and I think this experience helped me become more ambitious, which I also used in my job search.

If I go out into the world and work in the research industry, I will need to be at the forefront of society in terms of the flow of goods and money, trends, etc. I will keep my ears open, take on any challenge, and do my best to be at the forefront.

"Modern Social Analysis" Professor Tsuneo Suzuki

My teacher, a former editor at the Yomiuri Shimbun, taught me the hidden meanings behind the news, rather than just its surface meaning, and it changed the way I look at the news. I also made a "headline notebook" every day, copying down newspaper headlines, which helped me become more knowledgeable about current events.
