Kaoru Ohfu Seminar (Product Development and Marketing for Consumer Well-being)

Be curious, cheerful, fun, and serious about your research! Through seminars, you will hone the sensitivity and logic necessary for product and service development!

Research Themes

  • We consider products and services that can truly contribute to people and society, while looking at current and future consumers and living environments. Product development begins with thorough "understanding the customer." We don't just look at marketing, we also look at materials that can help us understand people, their feelings and behaviors, observe people in real life, visit stores, and more, and we thoroughly consider what kind of products and services will be useful in people's lives.
  • Research methods include literature review, questionnaire and interview surveys, and fieldwork.
  • The seminar is a place where you can take the initiative. Through reports, presentations, discussions, idea generation, and more, we aim to improve each other and grow together.

Activities

  • The 2025 seminar students will be the "first class" of this seminar. We look forward to the participation of people who enjoy developing the product known as the seminar. It is you who will create the history of the seminar. Please have good discussions with your fellow seminar students and actively participate in building the framework and running of the seminar.
  • Using the knowledge gained through desk work, students will turn their attention to the real world, working on case studies, interacting with people and organizations outside the university, and participating in competitions both on and off campus. Everyone will work together to progress through the process of "read, watch, listen, discuss, think, and then output."
  • ・Understanding customers and creating product plans can be difficult, but the sense of accomplishment is also great. We want you to experience the joy of achieving something through seminar activities. To achieve this, it goes without saying that you need to make effective use of seminar time, but independent seminars and intensive activities are also necessary, so let's discuss this from time to time and work to improve seminar management and seminar activities (camps and projects).
