Balancing "learning" and "play"!
Research Themes
"Why do some companies succeed and others fail when doing similar things?"
Today's business environment is complex, and it is difficult to understand why a company is successful just by looking at the surface of the company. In order to understand a company's competitive advantage, it is important to delve into the deeper parts of the company (parts that cannot be seen from the outside). Therefore, rather than simply reading books and textbooks, we go outside and conduct fieldwork such as observing customers in stores, and interview companies, store clerks, and customers to analyze the differences between successful and unsuccessful companies and explore the essence of "what are the true strengths of that company?"
Activities
The main goal of this seminar is to develop students into "thinking intellectuals" who can think and act independently based on knowledge. Therefore, in this seminar, students take the initiative in thinking about what kind of company or organization they want to research, and why it is worth researching that subject, and then they go out into the field, investigate, and analyze and present their findings from a business management perspective. In addition to presentations within the seminar, we also focus on cultivating the ability to communicate one's ideas to others through in-seminars with other seminars and universities, and participation in off-campus contests.
In addition, flexible thinking that can be gained from good "play" is also very important for good "learning." Therefore, in addition to studying, we will also have lively activities such as seminar dinners, factory tours, and various events.
